After a weekend off, PTE returns with success

Pure Talent Elite returned to the track after a weekend off to take part in the AAU District Qualifier held June 7th in El Dorado, KS. The top 16 finishers in each event automatically moves on the Regional Championships that take place June 28th and 29th in Joplin, MO. Taylor Giger continued to separate herself in the region winning both the 1500m and 800m runs. 8 and Under athlete Lanicia Parker looks to be a favorite heading into Joplin in the Long Jump as she again finished in the top 3 in the event placing 2nd. A good sign for PTE, 12 year old distance runner Noah Slone returned to the track after recovering from injury this year. More athletes will attempt to move on this weekend in the last qualifier at Lee's Summit West High School. Below you will find top 3 finishers and qualifiers for Joplin and their event.
